Fleet Street

Our Fleet Street wedding venue is set within the historic vaults of St Bride’s Church, creating a distinctive and atmospheric setting in the heart of the City. Rumour has it the first wedding cake was inspired by the church’s famous tiered spire – a fitting connection for a wedding celebration.

With space for up to 120 seated or 200 standing guests, Fleet Street can host everything from intimate wedding breakfasts and drinks receptions to larger celebrations.

Our Islington venue shines emerald – a hidden gem tucked between the brickwork and greenery of Islington. With its warm, intimate setting, it’s made for celebrating with your closest friends and family.

Wine is at the heart of Humble Grape. We work with independent winemakers from around the world, sourcing characterful wines directly from producers we know and trust.
From welcome drinks and wines to complement your wedding breakfast to bottles for the toast, our team will help you choose wines that suit your menu, tastes and celebration. As part of the planning process, you’ll also enjoy a dedicated tasting evening to explore the menu and wines before making your final choices.

"After looking at a lot of places across London they were obscenely expensive my partner and I settled on the Humble Grape for our wedding and we are so pleased that we did!! Erica and the team were wonderful to deal with from start to finish. They made us feel super relaxed. The venue tucked away in Th crypt of Saint Brides Chruch is the perfect place to hold an autumn or winter wedding. The soft lighting and candles on the tables made it really really atmospheric and also negated the need for us to decorate the venue with thousands of pounds worth of flowers. The food that we had on our wedding day was outstanding. We had high hopes after eating there a few times and during our dinner trial however the quality of what was produced by the team on the day for the 100 of us blew us away! We had fabulous canapés, our mains of pork was super crisp but yet juicy the seabass the same a wonderful selection of vegetables and delicious dessert trio. Our guests were all mentioning how good the food was after the wedding which makes us super happy! They have an amazing wine selection but it’s good to note they worked with our budget and never pushed a more expensive option. Our wines were really reasonable and delicious! They accommodated our requests to get some beers in which kept the costs down and the boys happy. We bought in platinum DJs as recommended by the team and had one hell of a party. I think you can see by some of the photographs how much fun that we had overall a massive thank you to the Humble Grape team and Erica and Lisa who was the coordinator on the day for all of their efforts we had an absolute blast. We couldn’t recommend them enough so if you’re thinking about having a cozy winter wedding in London the Humble Grape is the perfect space to host it."

"We could not have asked for a better wedding experience with Humble Grape. The communication in the run up to the day was excellent; nothing was ever too much. We were able to make sure that the day worked for our taste but also our finances. The day itself was executed with precision timing and there was never an empty glass. The food was spectacular and we loved being able to tailor our food and wine for our guests. We had so many compliments on our wedding breakfast! The venue worked fantastically well; it gave us an elegant drinks reception, an intimate wedding breakfast where all could see and hear the speeches, and a bustling dance floor all in one. It was a venue that catered both to our friends who wanted to dance their socks off and our grandparents who wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and chat. We loved that, despite the inevitable chaos that such a large event brought, the Humble Grape team never left me or my husband without a drink in hand and regularly checked that we had everything we needed. I can honestly say that we had the most wonderful day and it was in no small part thanks to the Humble Grape team. We love that we can always pop in for drinks or dinner at somewhere that has such a special place in our hearts"

The events team helped us plan all the details and even helped with some of the decor and set up. Was great for having a live band too at one end with a quieter retreat at the bar end. Perfect venue for a wedding for all the reasons mentioned plus it's on Bride's Lane and in the crypts of a church famed for inspiring the tiered wedding cake! They were without exception so smiley and happy while working so hard to keep our 130+ guests served with food and drink through a long day. They even managed to attend tirelessly to the smaller details like keeping water jugs full. The food, despite catering for such large numbers, was just a delicious and plentiful as it was when I recently lunched there with my son.
