Speed Tasting for Women: Connect, Sip, and Discover
Let’s be honest: making friends in London as an adult can be hard work. So, we decided to do something about it. We are thrilled to announce a brand-new speed tasting concept, specifically designed to help you connect with other women over exceptional, sustainable wine made by women.
You will taste 11 different wines, starting with a welcome glass of bubbles, followed by five crisp whites and five bold reds. Every drop poured comes from women winemakers and vineyard owners who own the land, run the show, and produce world-class, award-winning vintages.
Breaking Historic Barriers in the Vineyard
Did you know that, historically, women were deliberately kept out of wineries due to entirely sexist superstitions? There was an absurd belief that a woman’s cycle would turn the wine sour, and an assumption that women were physically unable to handle the heavy labour required in the cellar. Today, we are proud to banish those boring, outdated notions by showcasing the phenomenal women leading the industry.
Event Details: Your Ticket to Speed Tasting
The format is simple, highly social, and perfectly designed to help you meet brilliant new people without the dread of awkward small talk. You will be split into small teams, spending exactly five minutes tasting and discussing each wine before the bell rings and you move on to the next.
