Taste of Summer Wine: London’s Lazy Season Starts Here
Rosé Summer, Lazy Lunches & Wine That Deserves a Terrace
Hot train platforms. Sweaty backs. The London Underground doing its annual "trial by fire" impression. Hard pass. It’s officially summer, and that means one thing: it’s time for the best summer wines in the best spots — preferably outside, chilled glass in hand. If you're after a rosé summer, we’ve got a terrace with your name on it. If you’re into summer wines that taste like fruit and freedom, even better. Read on.
What We're Pouring This Summer
Our VIP This Month? Obviously, Rosé
You could mark your calendar for National Rosé Day or International Rosé Day — or you could just accept the truth: it's summertime wine season every single day in June. Our line-up is a cheeky celebration of everything rosé. You’ll find your new fave faster than you can say "Yes, another bottle please."
Domaine Saint-Pancrace, Côtes de Provence Rosé, 2024 – Zingy enough to wake up your oysters.
Cantine Borga 'Roseveryday', 2023 – Redemption for every bad rosé you've ever had.
Nieuwe Haarlem Rosé, 2024 – Technically a wine. Emotionally a three-hour lunch with no plans after.
This is a rosé summer that doesn’t mess about.
Best Red Wine for Summer? Yes, That Exists
Let’s get this out the way: red wine doesn’t have to hibernate all summer. Say hello to some good red wine for summer — lighter, juicier bottles that can take a chill and still shine. Gamay, Pinot Noir... you get the gist. Fruity but not fruity-in-a-bad-way. Basically, your new BBQ plus-one.
Let Us Introduce: Wine O’Clock
£5 Organic Wine. Two Plates for £10. No Brainer.
Wine O’Clock is back and it’s better than ever. From Monday to Friday (5-6pm) in Battersea, Crouch End, Canary Wharf and Islington, and Wednesday to Friday in Crouch End, we’re pouring summer wine drinks that cost less than your morning latte. No catch. Just properly tasty, organic, sustainable wines and seasonal bites that say "yeah, I’ll stay a bit longer."
Al Fresco Wine Is the Real Main Character
Al fresco wine hits differently. Our terraces are now open, sunny and just the right level of secluded. Whether you're bringing mates, your dog, or just vibing with a book (sorry, not vibing — relaxing), this is the setting for your taste of summer wine.
The Summer Wine Drink Checklist
Best Summer Wines = Fruit, Chill, Fun
Not every summer fruit wine needs to taste like a Capri Sun. We’ve gone out of our way to bring in bottles that keep things grown-up, balanced, and endlessly sippable. If it makes you want to ditch the schedule and order snacks instead, we’ve done our job.
Summertime Wine Needs Summertime Plans
Let’s face it, this city comes alive when the sun shows up. So swap rush hour for rosé, briefs for breezes, and meetings for Merlot. Don’t ask if it’s too early. It’s summer wine o’clock somewhere (our terraces, to be exact).
Join us on our terraces, sip our summer wine drinks, and see why thousands have made Humble Grape their go-to for a taste of summer wine.
