Sipping Secrets: Delving into Fleet Street's Underground Wine Wonderland

Tucked under the cobblestones of the charming St Bride's Passage, beneath the age-old St Bride's Church, you'll find our Fleet Street wine bar and kitchen, just casually set up in the original crypts. It's like stepping into Narnia for wine enthusiasts. You don't need a magic wardrobe, though. The only judgement here is whether that Merlot really has hints of black cherry or it's just your imagination running wild.

Swing the doors open and behold the spectacle of 500+ hand-picked wines from small, independent producers around the world. These aren't your usual supermarket picks. We're talking characterful bottles, unfamiliar labels and plenty of wines that'll make your eyes pop. If that doesn't lure you in, well, we're not quite sure what will!

Don't worry, we won't just toss you into this ocean of reds and whites. We've got a dedicated crew who have braved the grape waves, armed with knowledge and friendly advice to help you navigate to your liquid happiness, whether that means a bottle, two, or hey, who's counting?

But hey, wine isn't the only card we've got up our sleeve in Fleet Street. Drag yourself away from the drinkable rainbow at the bar and you'll stumble upon our private dining and event spaces tucked within the historic crypts and arches. Family dinner, business gathering, bespoke wine tasting, or just a fancy night out, the setting delivers local, seasonal food, plenty of wine and bags of atmosphere.

Want a bigger bash? Fleet Street can host everything from corporate events and private dinners to wedding breakfasts, drinks receptions and larger celebrations. For full venue hire, there is space for up to 120 seated or 200 standing guests.

Dreaming of turning our space into your private playground? We’re flattered and ready to oblige! Be it a party or a wedding reception, our events team can help you shape the celebration around your plans. Fun fact: the first wedding cake was allegedly inspired by the tiered spire of St Bride's Church. Talk about some sweet history, right?
