And the fun doesn’t stop there – we’ve also curated a special wine flight featuring the finest selections from South West France. They’re available at all of our wine bars across London in March, so if you’re unable to make our events then you can still drop by and get a taste of Français wine at a time that suits you!

Of course, to truly immerse yourself in the essence of the region, we recommend attending our fun and fabulous events: World of Wine and Meet the Winemaker Supper Club, so let us spill the grapes on what you can expect…

World of Wine: South West France

For this month’s World of Wine tasting event, we’ll be spending an exciting evening at our Humble Grape wine bar in Liverpool Street on Monday 25th March to try some fantastic wines from South West France. Trust us, this 3-hour extravaganza is the evening out that you’ve been looking for!

Prepare to be wowed by South West France, fondly known as ‘France’s Hidden Corner’. Tucked away between the Pyrénées Mountains, the vibrant city of Bordeaux, and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, this hidden gem boasts a wealth of unique wines that are just waiting to be uncorked.

What many people don’t realise is that South West France is the 5th largest wine-growing region in the country. That’s right - it’s bursting with vineyards, boasting twice as many as Burgundy and three times more than Napa Valley. And let’s not forget about the grape varieties too – we’re talking about a lineup so diverse and fascinating it will make your head spin!

But fear not, intrepid wine explorer! Our incredible wine gurus are here to guide you through this vinous wonderland, sharing tales of each bottle’s rich history, unravelling the tasting notes, and giving you the inside scoop on what makes this region so darn special. Get ready to soak up the knowledge and impress your friends with this newfound wine wisdom!

And speaking of highlights, brace yourself for a mesmerising Malbec experience; in South West France, it thrives, and in this tasting, you’ll get to savour one of the best of this iconic grape. Join us for an evening filled with discovery, fun, and, of course, exquisite wines.

Meet the Winemaker: Germain Croisille

Taking place across two evenings: on the 26th March in our Battersea wine bar, and in Islington on the 27th March, we’re saying Bonjour! to the wonderful Germain Croisille from Château Les Croisille for our next Meet the Winemaker Supper Club. Travelling all the way from France, Germain will be your guide for the evening, giving you all the inside knowledge from his experience of winemaking in the South West France region.

The story of Château Les Croisille begins in the picturesque terroir in Fages, located in South West France. In 1979 Germain’s parents became tenant farmers of a parcel of untouched land and only with grit, love, and determination, did they transform it into the wine haven it is today.

Germain joined the family business in 2008 and since then has gone from strength to strength in the business. Throughout the three-hour session with him, you’ll be able to swirl, sniff, and sip each drop of his family wine as he unveils the hidden stories and secret techniques behind each bottle.

But that’s not all! As with all our Supper Clubs, the wines are paired perfectly with six dishes from our talented Executive Chef so that you can have a truly mouthwatering experience from the intimate setting of our cosy London wine bars.

Get your hands on the tickets now for Battersea and Islington
