Your Essential Guide to our Christmas Wine Tastings this December

Winter has arrived, and while the weather outside may be frightful, our next London wine tasting is so delightful! Come and join us on either the 11th, 12th, or 13th of December to indulge in some truly delicious winter wines that will keep you merry all the way until Christmas Day.

Taking place at three of our London wine bars, in this three-hour Christmas wine tasting our experts will guide you through the mysteries of each bottle: from the notes you can taste to the stories of how they get made. Whether you’re a wine novice or full-blown connoisseur, our wine gurus are certified by the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), so you’re in good hands to learn something new!

We’ve got six sensational Christmas wines lined up for you, including red, white, and some bubbly delights to give you a full spectrum of flavours. As always, we source our wines from boutique wineries around the world, many of which are small, family-run gems. So sip, savour, and support the little guys - it’s what the holiday spirit is all about!

Here are some of the stars of the show:

Bernard Lonclas Cuvée Prestige, NV, Champagne, France

Bernard Lonclas say that this can be drunk at any time and until dawn. We agree. WE like to open this top blend - with its creamy, brioche and pastry flavours laced with toasted almonds and white flowers - over breakfast of an almond croissant and fresh strawberries.

Podere Ruggeri Corsini Barolo Bussia, 2018, Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Bussia is a mere one hectare South West facing vineyard on clay/loam soil with an average vine age of 26-45 years old in the Southern Barolo DOCG cru of Monforte d’Alba. The fruit was hand-picked, completely de-stemmed and lightly crushed. Oak maturation in a mix of new, 1 and 2 year old French Barrels and seasoned Slovenian casks for 30 months.

Domaine Armelle et Bernard Rion, Chorey-les-Beaune, 2020, Burgundy, France

All hand-picked grapes are fermented in cement tanks before being aged in French oak barrels from 10 to 15 months. Such a scrumptious wine bursting at the seams with red fruits, we think this is one of the most food friendly Burgundy's around!

With an assortment of festive flavours on offer, you’ll leave our Christmas wine tasting with plenty to add to your wish list. And the good news – these wines are available in our Classic Christmas Wine Case! They’ve been designed to pair perfectly with each course for your Christmas lunch to take your meal to the next level on the big day.

Our Christmas wine tasting is the place to be for a fun date night, a wine-fuelled adventure with friends and family, or even a solo experience to meet fellow wine enthusiasts. So, whether you’ve been naughty, nice, or a little bit of both this year, make sure to gift yourself the opportunity to experience one of the most epic wine tastings in London.
