Chateau Pomeaux is a recently consolidated property in Pomerol. The four hectares of vineyards occupy a magnificent position along the south-eastern slopes of the Pomerol plateau approximately 1 mile from Chateau Petrus and 1/2 mile from Chateau Le Pin and Vieux Chateau Certan. The average age of the vines, which are exclusively Merlot, is approximately 30 years. Pomeaux produces an extraordinarily rich, concentrated and robust wine whilst still retaining great delicacy and balance.
