The Chateau is owned by the Borie family and is situated in the south-east of the St-Julien appellation. With greater selection in the Ducru-Beaucaillou vineyard, its second wine is quite on a level of quality with other classed growth Saint-Juliens like Talbot and Langoa.

| Tasting note | Jancis Robinson: Thick crimson colour. Sweet, mild, well balanced nose. Pretty good and tight. Rather polished and well balanced. Fresh and ripe and the tannins perfectly ripe. Quite a surprise! Very slightly inky tannins but relatively supple until the very end. |
