Jordan Cobblers Hill
Product Description
Gary and Kathy Jordan have been making world class wines that combine the fruity accessiblity of the New World with the classic eleganceof the Old World for nearly 20 years. Their stunning vineyards lie between 160m and 410m above sea level and face North, South, East and West. The soils comprise granite, well-drained gravel, clay-loam and sandy duuplex soils over clay. This allows the Jordans to be truly site specific with their vineyard plantings which also benefit from sea breezes and mists rolling in from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Gary and Kathy are both qualified winemakers, they also have degrees in economics and geology between them and so make an impressive winemaking team. In 2007 the Jordan's won the coveted Mission Hill Chardonay Trophy at the International Wine & Spirit Competition for their Jordan Chardonnay, whilst their Cobblers Hill 2005 was awarded 5***** in the John Platter 2009 guide.
