Chianti Classico ‘Castello di Brolio’ Barone Ricasoli
Product Description
Baron Bettino Ricasoli, at one point the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Italy created the Chianti recipe of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo and 15% Malvasia in the middle of the nineteenth century. Since the mid-1980s, the Chianti Classico zone has had its own DOCG recognized area separate from the greater Chianti region with separate regulations for alcohol and yields. Sangiovese produced from vineyards in Gaiole, the assembled blend is aged for 9 months in large format barrels and barriques.
