Leitz Rudesheimer Schlossberg Riesling Spatlese Dry
Product Description
When Johannes Leitz took over the family estate he felt he had awoken a "sleeping beauty". Once he began to get his hands dirty in the vineyard he realised that he had the right sites to make better than just good wine. The fruit was terrific and the aspect perfect for controlling yields of very fine quality.. As with most fine wine growers Johannes takes the view that little or no interference in the production process leads to the best results. Therefore each year the wine ferments very slowly and the wine that is produced is elegant, expressive and typical of the region. Johannes himself is physically a big man with a big spirit and kind hearted nature and it could be said that his wines reflect his personality. Behind the sophisticated harmony of fruit and acidity, lies robust and generously full bodied wines, discreet but with power, elegant and stylish.
