3 btls Domaine Balland-Chapuis Coteaux du Giennois Sauvignon Blanc:
The Coteaux du Giennois White vineyards cover 13 hectares. They are situated in the commune of Bonny sur Loire, and are planted on terraces of clay-and silica soils overlooking the Loire.
Tasting Note : Floral nose with pronounced stone fruit, white flowers and lime. Lively acidity on the palate with grapefruit, citrus and fantastic length. Classic Loire Sauvignon.
3 btls Domaine Terres Georges Quintessence Syrah:
Based in the heart of the Minervois mid-way between Narbonne and Carcassone. Anne-Marie and Roland Coustal took control of this small 12 Hectare estate from their parents in 2001.
Tasting Note: Garnet red, subtle spicy oak, black pepper, boysenberry and cloves on the nose with black briary fruits, garrigue notes and firm fine grained tannins. 100% Syrah.
3 btls:Chateau Cabannieux Graves Bordeaux
Château Cabannieux is an old family winery registered in the 1881 classification as 'cru exceptionnel'. Today Hugo Dudignac is running the Domaine focusing on elegant Merlot, Cabernet and Cabernet Franc blends typical of the region. Merlot 50% ,Cabernet Sauvignon 45% & Cabernet Franc 5%.
Tasting Note: Garnet red, fresh red fruits on the nose, a touch of vanilla and measured oak. Mineral, pastille and juicy, fleshy mid palate all wrapped around a framework of tight knit tannins.
3 btls: Chateau Croisille Noble Cuvee Malbec Cahors
Chateau les Croisille is a small family domain crafting traditional Malbec on the calcareous clay soils of Cahors in south west France. Artisan winemaking by regional hero Pascal Verhaeghe.
Tasting Note: Ruby colour, black fruits, tea leaf and black pepper with intense sweet fruit on the palate. Subtle oak, savoury tannin, nice grip and balanced acidity.
