Can a wine be too perfect? Nope. This one is proof you can have your cake and eat it, and we’ll prove it in three. Number 1: it comes from one of the most beautiful places on earth, nestled in the glacially-formed rolling hills south of Lake Garda. Number 2: it is eco friendly, Cantina Ronca’s winemaking process uses solar panels to heat water and produce electricity, only natural yeasts, no herbicides, no insecticides and all grapes are hand harvested. Number 3: it tastes awesome, ageing on its lees in stainless steel for 4 months has added a richness to those classic crunchy pear and peach flavours. Humble perfection.
One perfectly chilled sip of this crisp Pinot Grigio will instantly transport you to a waterside cafe overlooking Lake Garda in the sunshine. Metaphorically of course. To complete the experience just add some simple fresh pasta, a sprinkle of Parmigiano-Reggiano, a splash of extra virgin olive oil and a twist of black pepper.
